Dodgy Buttons

7 replies · 2,027 views · Started 30 July 2007

Hi Ive had my 95 for 3 months now with no problems until lately the Green(call) button and the top right (shortcut button ) have not been behaving properly. If I press them really hard SOMETIMES they work but most of the time they dont. this makes navigating the phone verry difficult indeed. Anyone had simillar problems? cheers:con?

Have you recently upgraded the firmware to v12.

Like you, my N95 worked fine but since upgrading, I find myself having to press some keys more than once for the press to register.

ffcphone I upgraded to version 11 2 months ago with no probs dont think version 12 is out for t mobile yet thanks for your reply

When I last checked there was no T-Mobile v12 available. I gave up waiting and changed the product code and install generic v12.

I wonder if anyone else has any dodgy button stories.

Lots of people have reported the problem, and it would appear that Nokia are working with their usual speed to get it fixed.

It's only a matter of time before the * button fails to register while I'm using predictive text, I fail to notice, and my mother gets a message featuring the 'c word'.

Halon...sorry to be a pain but can you just confirm whether the issue of "dodgy buttons" is a more general issue or whether it has specifically come about as a result of the firmware upgrade to v12.

I'm certain I'm not using mine any differently to how I was before but since the firmware upgrade I'm frequently finding myself having to press keys a couple of times to get the press to register.

Hi, it seems to be a specific fault with v12. I didn't have the problem with v11 and haven't seen any reports of problem with earlier firmware.

perhaps mcbungie has big fat saussage fingers and that is the reason the buttons are broken!
