From soon, it's going to be a quid a day, regarless of how much you use it.
So even using A-gps will cost a quid where as now it costs me 8pence. Thats just rubbish!
Not that happy :frown:

Any official reference for this change?
They better not try and pull that shit with me. I have an unlimited data package, fo which I pay £45 a month already!
I don't think covers the normal web+walk plans. It sounds like this is for casual users who haven't paid for web'n'walk or a data plan.
Look under Web'n'walk day pass on:

I dialed 150 and it said about it then...
if you have signed a contract with them, then they cannot change the plan as this will be in brach of your contract, in theory....
so this shluld only apply to new users. i have a contract with o2 and despite it's 4 years now and i'm paying a ridicolous 20 pm for 1000 xnetwork minutes - this tariff does not exist anymore but until i receed from my contract they have to stick to it.
I'm on PAYG so no contract - I moved specifically to T-mobile for their 1 a day limit - I wanted to be able to surf when I felt like it and not worry about the cost.
Even thought the 1 limit is still there, I'm no longer going to be able to use it as I please. For example I use the BBC Text only news page which costs virtually nothing to load up.... not any more!
Pants.
Great, I'm looking for a way to get out of my 18mo contract with T-mobile.
This AGPS is proving a double edged sword. Thats the reason I turned it off, mobile companies are getting smart (and annoying) to put a minimum on data transfers.
Check the terms and conditions of your contract with T-Mobile. I'm with them but not read mine in fine detail. But I bet there's a clause about varying the terms of the contract providing advanced notice of a certain number of days is given such as 30.
F
They gave that 30 days notice to T-Mobile US customers when they changed the sms cost. And you could terminate your contract in that time if you wished, so not sure if thats the same principle here. Or just get web n walk package, best £7.50 ive spent.
I wonder what the T in T-Mobile stands for? T*SS*R?
Paul...think that's a little unfair.
Many T-Mobile customers enjoy the unique approach to pricing offered by their Flext and Web'n'Walk tariffs and, arguably, it's the latter which has driven down the price of GPRS in the UK with other operators jumping onboard to offer something similar rather than existing circa 1/MB.
In any event, there's no official word yet from T-Mobile and, as has been suggested above, the Web'n'Walk tariff is certainly going to be cheaper than 1 a day.

I dialled 150 this morning and there's NOTHING about this WHATSOEVER.
I then spoke to the end-your-contract team who told me that there are no changes to Web 'n Walk planned at all.
Why are you propogating misinformation ?
Do you work for Vodafone perchance ?
What a cnut !
I don't know about other people, but I find it unnaceptable to be spoken to like that, even if I am on line. I've never had anyone speak to me like that face to face and I don't see why I should be spoken to like that in writing.
I dialled 150 and it said there were important changes to the charges and that I should dial another number for details, or go on line to look.
Perhaps it only mentions it if you are a PAYG user.
I wouldnt worry about it, many people online are cowards, and talk crap like that because they can get away with it.
Dont let it bother you, just ignore them.
In fact, leave him reputation using the 'add to xxxxx reputation' (negative can be left) button at the top of his post.
One quick google check here http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/payg-price/?WT.mc_id=price and under Other Plans you get this quote
" You'll be glad to know that your text and call rates haven't changed. However, we're making changes to how you pay for browsing on web'n'walk and your promotional offers.
Summary of changes:- From 26th September we're making the cost of browsing the whole Internet on your phone with web'n'walk simpler. Rather than pay for the amount you download until you spend £1, there will be a simple daily fee of £1 which gives you 24 hours unlimited browsing.
As these changes are important to you please see clause point 4(g) of your Conditions for the T-Mobile pay as you go telephone service for further information"
(PAYG) customers only

A rather important caveat.
A shame the OP omitted to make ANY mention of that at all.
What a waster !
If I had known it was PAYG only I would have mentioned it - I obviously missed this when listening to the announcement.
I was just sharing the information I had at the time, and my displeasure.
I'm sorry if I have wasted anyone's time.
Ehh ignore the troll. You simply wanted to let people know tis all, you could have done far worse! Make sure you add to his rep so that it eventually gets bad enough that no-one reads what he puts.

Didnt waste my time - thanks for the heads up , and taking the time to post
Cheers guys 😊 :icon14:

You're lucky I was in a good mood and didn't properly lay into you about it.
You still wasted my time - and I'm sure other people's (who aren't necessarily as forthright as me).
Never take anything you read on the net as 100% true - that's my rule, and what happened here simply reinforces that assumption.

and just what was factually incorrect in the OP's post then ???
Ignore the troll, hes just looking for aggro. His threatening over the internet already proves hes an oxygen thief.
I think T-mobile should offer some kind of unlimited web bolt on for PAYG. I don't phone or text people that much (maybe 5 per month) so don't want to go on contract, but at the same time I'd like to surf often.
Currently there doesn't seem to be a solution for that situation. What I have at the moment is the nearest to it, but as per this thread, it's moving away from what I need.
Trouble is, none of the networks offer anything remotely valuewise for data access. The UK has one of the worst mobile datacosts in Europe, and its not set to get any better.
The way we connect is coming on in leaps and bounds (3G, 3.5G, and 4G on the horizon) but the cost for data isnt changing much at all.

4G? I've not heard about that. What sort of speeds will we be looking at?
RE Pheonix SZ's comments, I've left feedback which I expect the mods will have to approve - so hopefully it'll be brought to their attention. If his comments are genuine then I actually feel quite sorry for him, I'd not want to get that stressed out over something so minor, a recipe for a heart attack I'd say! 😊
