MSI USB Bluetooth & Nokia 7650 - Win XP Home

Hi!

I have a MSI USB Bluetooth Adapter. The installation is ok, and my 7650 is paired. When I want to use the Bluetooth Serial Port connection with the MSI Software, I get an error: The Bluetooth Serial Port connection failed: The remote device closed the connection. After that, I got in the mRouter application a connection on COM5. In the mRouter application, under devices, I have then a unknown device (cable), but no Nokia 7650. I have the MSI Software, V1.2.2.4 installed. Can anyone help me?

Thanks, Thomas

Even though there is an error, the serial connection has worked. If you look at the phone, you will see the bluetooth dot surrounded by ( ) meaning there is a connection. You will not see the name of the phone in mrouter. It will just say connected to whatever port, in your case it's port 5. Once connected you will be able to use PC Suite.

Hi!

I see the bluetooth dot surrounded by ( ) on my phone.

In mrouter I can change to devices, and here are known and unknown devices. My phone is under unknown devices. When I open the PC Suite, I have nothing to select. All I see is a grey screen.

Thanks.

There is a new version of the driver from MSI.

You can download the 1.2.2.15 from http://download.msi.com.tw/support/dvr_exe/bt45.exe .

It works fine with me.

Yesterday Ive seen the new driver and downloaded it. I installed this. At the beginning it seeems, as it works also not. After a while it functioned. Now Im happy ... my bluetooth is working!

Download Billionton's latest bluetooth drivers at

http://www.billionton.com.tw/extra/download.htm

Version 1.3.2.7.

No more problems!
Direct connection to your phone. No need to use the serial port first!

I use both Billionton and MSI bluetooth USB adapters.
The software and drivers work for both brands!
