I recently updated my phone to the v.12 firmware but have only recently noticed that my reuters feed in the video center is not working. The list updates correctly, and the video downloads, but it only plays the audio in realplayer. The video image is never displayed. I've checked the 2 other feeds, startcooking.com and rocketboom and they both work fine.
Anyone else had similar problems? I'm not sure if this is caused either by the change in firmware, realplayer or if reuters have changed the format of the mobile content being supplied to the feed.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Paul
Hello. I have the same problem using Reuters download in Video Center using Firmware 12. Please advise.
I wandered in here wondering the same thing.
It is definitely the way Reuters is encoding the clips, though. You can see the clips on the PC (using Nokia media player or Quicktime or whatever), and the image shows, but loses sync with the sound.
The thing is, who do we report this too? :con?
In the meantime, if, from the list of clips, you go 'options' then 'open link in browser' - then a lower-res version will be dowloaded that you can see (and hear, and is in sync). If you save the file, it'll show up in Gallery, not Video centre.
Another work around is to download the Reuters videos using the Nokia Podcast. They will then will appear in My Videos Folder of the Video Center.
I emailed Reuters about the problem and they seem to have fixed it. I was able to download and watch the video feeds okay today from within Video Centre.

I noticed the Reuters problem too, and also that the clips now work via the 'proper' Reuters 'channel' in the Video Centre. However, I think the clips are now encoded at a lower bitrate - subjectively, the picture quality is more pixellated, and I can definitely hear a difference in the sound (for the worse). Still, at least the clips are watchable again...
On a related subject: I haven't upgraded to the v12 firmware yet, but have noticed another problem with my N95's Video Centre in the last week or two. Basically, I have three feeds in "Internet videos" (All About Symbian, The Smartphones Show and Rocketboom), and when I refresh the feed list, all three feeds show no videos in their lists.
I am reasonably certain that the feed URLs are correct, and it doesn't seem to matter whether I connect via T-Mobile's data service or my home (or any other) WiFi. This problem is obviously rather frustrating - has anyone else encountered it, and/or know what's going on?
Many thanks 😊

I'm having the same trouble with rocketboom (not got the other feeds, what are the feed urls?) worked fine till about a week ago. now it shows "no videos" when i try to refresh it. No idea why or how to fix this...😡
just fixed my problem! 😃
All i did was remove the feed (by going into "feed subscribtions", selecting rocketboom and selecting the "remove" option), then adding it again through "add new services".
When i updated it the next time it worked 😃
