Do you prefer having localized (translated) releases of app?

This thread included a poll: Do you want localized applications?

The subject just explains it 😉

I'd like an opinion of non-english people if they would be more attracted to buy apps and/or games if they are translated into their mother language.

I mean, some but not all apps are avalaible in several languages. This IMHO often depends on how the producers feel about chances of success of their app in that market.

So, please cast your vote now! 8) And please write down a message telling what language you'd like to see apps translated into.

I only use english! Even when I top up in Greece I have my network confiugured so that the automated message from Vodafone GR speaks english!

I prefer German applications. I have no problems with English apps, but because the standard Nokia apps and menus are all in German everything just looks more consistent.

I think same too (though Finnish of cource).

All or nothing! 😉

OK, time to say what I think 😉

Yeah! I also like to keep my phone(s) menu in English, and apps in Nokia7650 too. The same goes for my PC: I am using English WinXP, english Office, etc. etc.

I usually do it because:

* (for PC) bugfixes and security fixes are out in English before all
* (for all) usually I am not very comfortable with translations. Especially in cellphones, there are often very BAD translations, and in several cases Nokia translators put some menus in the wrong order, so yes means no and vice versa 😃

Yeah arabic for messages would be great ... and just to tell those who dont know ... we cant read arabic messages ... as for apps ... naaah i aint going to use it!

uhm... just to know, does any nokia phone exist, that supports arabic language? (I just don't know, it's out of curiosity)

I prefer Chinese Apps for both consistancy and also, the chinese fonts in 7650 is quite attractive. :P
However, most apps have a bad support in Chinese although it's UI in Chinese, it can't display the Chinese from other apps or from your input. 😞
