A pure Series 60 (i.e. non-java) HTML browser has been just
released by a Finnish company:

in Finnish - the browser is in English so you can try it!

The demo gives you three minutes of online surfing...
I've been testing it for couple of hours and it seems quite
good (AllAboutSymbian is very readable 😊 . The size is
quite small 84kB for the .sis and 188kB installed.
No Javascript support though and frames are represented
in a list of frame names...
I have tested it and think it is much better than WebViewer. But where can I buy it? The program itself says www.softwaremarket.nokia.com, but I cannot find it there... Anyone from finland here who can translate their webpage for us?
Actually I don't find it better than Webviewer, except that it can load SSL pages. It annoying that you have select "Select" from the Options menu to select links on the page. And I can't seem to find where to enter a URL.
You don't have to select "select". You can also just press the joystick down to enter the select mode.
A URL can't be entered easily that's right. You always have to create a new bookmark for that, but I think that doesn't matter. I normally use bookmarks anyway...

There was a posting in a Finnish mobile phone forum where the company representative said that it will be soon there for sale as well... But currently they have only one way of paying (15 euros) for the browser and that needs an account in Nordea bank.
