what is the different between 3G and GSM mode ???

any one got any idea? please expline why we use them?

thankx.:con?

In a nutshell.....higher bandwidth.

"The term 3G refers to the next generation of wireless communications technology, the “first generation” having been analog cellular, and the “second generation” (2G and 2.5G) being today’s existing GSM/GPRS networks. 3G aims to provide universal, high-speed, high bandwidth support to bandwidth hungry applications such as full motion videos, video calling and full Internet access."

3G (Third generation) fast connection for internet, video calling etc. Not available in all Area's and not all phones support it.

GSM - the standard lower bandwidth connection for normal calls etc. Used in most countries and supported by all phones.

No offence, but how can you not know about 3G? Don't you watch TV or read any paper/magazines or look at info in phone shops?
