Do we have a Backlight problem?

Hi everyone!

I got the phone off 02 UK Last November (no help in resolving issues)😡

So now I am using the P990i with the latest world generic 1 firmware R6E28.

I bought the IEC-20 exec case last december, I still carnt use the case.

Because even with the keypad locked and the phone in the case the back light

stays on, so it flattens the battery. Does anyone know if we will get a fix for this?

I have to carry it like a prat, or do I sling it back at 02 and wait for the new Nokia

E90.

I know I'm asking the obvious but what are your backlight settings and have you got power save enabled?

First you need to make sure that power save is checked. Next you need to make sure that the settings of "Handheld" and "Car Holder" is set to auto.
That should fix your problem.
