hi! ok im new to this, i own an unlocked softbank phone (only for the pleasure of using the felica service with my door lock)
i have never "flashed" a phone myself, or have a clue what it is,
i have a good knowledge of japanese phones but not of english,
i am currently in the UK and i havent got a symbian phone yet, which is why im here to read stuff and find out about them.
i spotted online japanese support for the blackberry. but i dont want a blackberry i want a phone.
so i looked around here, and found someone who wrote "Japanese language support will be in Series 60 Platform 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2" and from the looks of the symbian website, i would assume the Nokia N76 or the 3650 comes into that category?
they are the only two phones i like the look of, apart from FOMA phones but i expect noone here knows how to get them unlocked, because its impossible. right? i have a nice p901is sitting in my cupboard :frown:
Anyway, yes, about those nokia ones i decided I liked the look of,
once weve established if a language pack (meaning showing the menus and permiting text input of japanese) would work, then how is one supposed to put it onto the phone?
im sure its an annoying question, but I work hard speaking english all day, and i wanna use my phone in my own native language, without having to pay 4dollars a minute on DoCoMo world wing roaming services. pleeeeeeeease help me find some kind of phone (i dont care what it looks like really) that can have japanese language, and i can buy it in the UK and download something. i dont want to have to inport another unlocked phone that cant use my networks services 100%.
:con? yes i seem stupid. i know.
remember to post your replies in gentle, idiot language for me, so i can understand please
😊
