I have debranded the phone, successfully installed Route 66 and it works fine...however it appears to use 'Orange GPRS'...does that mean I'm paying for it?

Possibly - Go into R66 settings and set default access point to None.

Also, find nagivation settings within the N95 menus and disable A-GPS as this also uses GPRS connections.

Do you mean deleteOrange GPRS as an access point?

Done this...and just found the positioning settings too. They show bluetooth, agps, integrated gps and networkbased. All are ticked apart from bluetooth. Presumably they should all be unticked apart from 'integrated'?
What is the 'network based'? Orange??
If so, maybe I can just deselect that one??

PS Thanks for showing me the 'positions'..hadn't seen that before...must have just come on when Route 66 installed

Network based check your "Network Cell"
in simple words it is calculted by creating a virtual polygon cell between the mobile antennas around you
you would be ok to leave it checked

Mmm...I bow to your superior knowledge :con?
So I'll just deselect the agps...will report back and let you all know!
Many many thanks!
