Anybody know if any store in the US has the phone in stock? I have a order placed at buy.com they say they are out of stock and on order. Dell.com says shiip date 6 plus weeks. So it seems like nobody in the US has the phones but the Nokia USA site has it so it must be released in the US.
E90 availability in US
September 7 is the !estimated! arrival to the US, which does not guarantee the actual release. I had an order at buy.com and cancelled it. Got a red E90 locally through the craigslist for $899 - did not see the point to wait another month or two to save $100-150?
I wanted a US released phone because I heard that the 3 g network t mobiile usa was going to be 2100 compatible with the e90. Also you can't get a phone serviced in the Us if it wasnt released in the US. Where did you getr thra 9/7 date? Did buy.com tell you that?
3G will not work in US on E90 - that is confirmed information so far. I spoke to Dell recently - that is their date, since they are the official distributor of E90 in USA. As far as servicing goes - no: Nokia USA will not service imports + IMHO - US warranty will get you nowhere. I never had a problem with a Nokia phone - the build quality of the hardware is excellent and software is easily upgradable via NSU.
Well maybe I should check craigslist. Only other advantage in waiting however might be the little problems like the uneven rubber feet and the other things listed in this forum, may be fixed by Sept.
