N95 gone weird! Help needed please. — Nokia N95 and N95 8GB

Hi,

I was using my second N95 Ive had from o2 before.

Everyone was fine until I was looking through my inbox.

Then all of a sudden the screen went off! 😮

The display sometimes flashes on now and then but otherwise its off.

Ive noticed that when the screen flashes on the display/background is sometimes upside down.

It also kind of switches colour / between themes when I get a glimpse of the screen.

Its so annoying! Just when I thought I had a phone which would do its job!

Does anyone know why this has happened?

Does any of the problems sound familiar?

Going to backup the phone and important texts now.. hopefully they will transfer over ok to the new handset!

Yes this happened to some others as well. It seems cable between phone and slider getting broken.
Bring it to nokia service center (or return for replace, if this is possible).

Really the cable? (Therefore hardware?)

Damn.

I was hoping the man at the o2 shop was right in him thinking that it was the software (hence the profiles changing all of the time). He said if it was then the service centre could flash it there on the spot and fix it.

If it needs to be sent away to be repaired Ill be without a phone for upto 4 weeks 😞

I was only a week or so out of the 28 days to getting a new for old handset. Gutted 😞
