Hi all
I've been playing around with the camera part, and i found that if i try to 'lock' on to something more than 1/2 to 1 meter away from me, i get a RED quadangle 😮 and not a GREEN, witch absolutly takes the best (most focused) pictures.
Been setting all kinds of differnt options, but always the same result :frown:
Anyone now why ?? What am i doing wrong ?
Greets all 😊
That close I would definitely use the close-up mode. I got the red a lot for close things, and found the close-up mode gives me the green box nine times out of ten.
Its pratically unusable the camera part, because of never getting a green box always getting unsharp pictures in red box shoots :frown:
So the GPS part is nearly always giving me a 30/50% longer route/detour
(With the latest v.12 upgrade and the latest maps) :icon13:
The camera dosent focus properly 9 out of 10 times. :icon13:
Theres not much left for me to like back then
Cant wait to the next Nookia update (it's kindda the last hope of fixing these SERIOUS bugs)
Greets all 😊
Probs described are not typical for 12.x. Mine (12.x) does not have any of your probs described. Suggest a hard reset and install everything from scratch.

So, you never said, did you try pressing the "A" option in the camera, and choosing "close-up mode". Like I said, I get the red box a lot with "AUTO" mode for objects at the distance you mentioned, where as 9 times out of 10 it is OK in "close-up mode".
Regards
But what i ment was, that in close-up (under 1 meter) is about the only distance i get a green box :con? Else nearly always red on longer shoots :frown:
It might help a bit with your close-up suggestion, but not enough to ever could 'use' the camera in all situations.
Damm im dissapointed with my N95 right now. :icon13:
Gretts all 😊
I think Nokia have released N95's with faulty cameras and it seems to be very common. I sent my N95 back to Nokia for repair its improved but by now means 100% better on distances over a few meters. Sometimes it will lock sometimes it wont on distances over a few metres at least its better than before where it wouldn't lock on anything over a few metres.
If this as common as is thought ill be surprised if it doesn't become a class action thing in the future, especially if they release flawed versions in the US market where class action is more common. Especially with quite a few flaws showing up in some phones since its release.
Faulty Earpiece (Hissing, high pitched wine when making and receiving calls)
Faulty Slider (Becomes wobbly and creaky after time)
Faulty Cameras (Anything over a few meteres it becomes useless)
Possible Faulty GPS Receivers
Is there any more faults with the phone.
Ill return mine - shiiiit
and buy a sony p1
Greets all 😊

Yeah sorry, thought you meant it had probs with close up, not the other way around, read your first message too fast.
I would say try another one (go back to place of purchase and compare yours with another, if they peform differently then yours has a problem of some kind). Maybe do a factory default on yours just before hand, so it has the same settings as the store one.
