Hello, I just bought myself a Nokia N75.

I go to school so i need to be able to silence/vibrate my phone on a dime.

Is there anyway i can do this? I need to silence my whole phone, not just medea/mp4.

T9, how do i get it? Ive read the book and nothing in there says T9.

Thanks

Thanks

on my nokia n73 if i hold the hash key it will put the phone into silent

if i hold the key again it will switch to general

maybe try this on the n75

as for t9 dictinary mode when in sms creation screen again press the hash key yoyull notice the letter symbols will change at the top of the screen you need them to have a sort of line underneath them so keep pressing hash till till this changes on my n73 i press it twice to get t9 mode

hope that helps buddy

When can i find the creation screen? I can get the the settings of the phone where it says |Msg. center in use| SMS Settings, is that what i need?

Most of the people on this forum seem to have the N73 not the N75 and there seem to be some differences between the way the two phones function.

For starters, silencing the phone is easy. Tap (don't hold) the power button on the top of the phone and a menu will pop up where you can select profiles. use the volume keys to scroll down to silent then the track back button to select the silent profile.

The N75 does not have T9. It has its own predictive text entry method that is virtually identical to T9 however. T change text modes you press the pencil key. On the top right you will see the Abc for multitap mode but if you see two lines next to the picture of the pencil next to Abc that means you are in pedictive text mode.

hope it helps,
