Lifeblog won't connect to phone after PCSuite upgrade

I have a 1 year old Nokia N80. Used both PC Suite and Lifeblog very happily from the start. When prompted to upgrade PCSuite, did so to V6.84.10.3. Worked fine at syncing phone, but when I tried to connect the phone to lifeblog I got a message saying Lifeblog could not connect to the phone while it was connected to PCSync.

I closed the PC Sync app and tried again... same message.

I stopped the PC Sync app using task manager but same message.

I went into the PC Syn File menu and unchecked the "invoke at startup" option. I then rebooted the laptop and tried starting lifeblog and connecting to the phone - same message.

Has anybody got any suggestions about what I could do to be able to sync lifeblog with my phone again?

After my experience upgrading PC Sync, I haven't dared try upgrading my lifeblog software or the firmware on my phone in case something even worse happens. I've mislaid the orginal CD that came with the phone, otherwise I'd be tempted to uninstall the latest PC sync software and go back to the old version.

My only advice: Never upgrade PCSuite!
What to do? Uninstall previous version of PCSuite, use a clen registry software and clean the registry of windows first, reboot PC, and after all that, install the last PCSuite version. Only my advice! Try again.

yeah, its such an issue Nokia have an app that works as a removal tool for previous installation of PCSuite... get that and then reinstall latest version of PCSuite for you phone.

Thanks for the advice. I've just uninstalled PC Suite and run Regclean. I'm going to try reinstalling PC Suite to see if that fixes it. Failing that I'll go look for this Nokia app.

I'll let you know how this works.

After uninstalling PC Suite, running regclean and reinstalling - same error when trying to sync lifeblog with my phone.

So, I downloaded the cleaner Nokia_PC_Suite_Cleaner_3_6.exe. I uninstalled PC Suite again and then ran the cleaner. However I got the error

"PC Suite Cleaner does not support this version of Nokia connectivity solution (7.22.7.1). Please contact Nokia support"

The version of lifeblog I'm running is fairly up-to-date - V 2.0.403 and the version of PC Suite I'm installing and uninstalling is
6_84_10_3.

Is there anything else I could do?
