How would you like that Nokia E90, sir?

Even leaving aside our own Ewan's continuing adventures with the Nokia E90, it's still a device that's capturing attention around the Web. Stefan's spotted an unofficial Olli-Pekka signature edition for sale in Finland, while E-series Ed has spotted red wine and carbon fibre black editions with 'optional ScratchGuard protection'. E90 fans can also look forward to my definitive E90 case review coming up a week or so on AAS.

Read on in the full article.

Speaking as someone in Finland who's seen this ad campaign, I can confirm that those are NOT official Nokia products.

They're perfectly ordinary E90s with plastic coatings stuck onto them by the Finnish online electronics shop Verkkokauppa.com. You can actually choose any name you want, the "Olli Pekka" is just an inside joke used as an example.

Verkkokauppa don't just do E90s either, they also coat a wide range of products such as laptops, cameras, hifis, games consoles etc. The following images have to be seen to be believed:

I don't know many gamers who want their 700 euro console to look like it's been coated in flock wallpaper, but apparently this is the market Verkkokauppa is aiming at.

The Verkkokauppa customisation service can be found at this address (in Finnish):

Basically the advertisement said that you can get Your name, company logo etc on your E90.

I think it's cool especially Businessmen with Status (or wannabes).
I am totally watering for one with all the extras 😊 but since I'm not a CEO (just a student still) I can't afford such mobile+portable computer in one.

Damn, read the comments in the intomobile post before making the same mistake as stefan!
