Using N95 as a modem, does it cost?!!? need to know asap! My internet currently went down and I figured I could do this, but I dont want to run a massive bill, so could someone please tell me if this costs or not! ASAP

Thanks

Unless you dial a connection number to connect to internet (like 123456789) you don't pay for the time/duration of the connection. When using GPRS/3G (packet switched) you pay for the amount of data transferred (up+down).

So if you have a flatrate data in your subscription it will not cost you anything but if you don't I would advice you NOT to use the N95 as a modem since £/MB in general are quite high and loading any "ordinary" website will typically download 1-2 MB...

Also, bear in mind that many networks treat that as different data. Some simply dont allow phones acting as modems on some of the data tariffs they supply.

I dont know if they can tell the difference, but dont get a dataplan then use a lot of data beleiving it will be covered, you might get a nasty suprise.
