I have also recently upgraded to a2dp onmy n73 with the current v4.0726.2.0.1 update.
having a2dp is great (indoors) any body else had broken droppy sound when walking. phone is in top pocket, like 20inches max from headset. im using the new moto s9's and they are ver very good. on pc fine..inside fantastic, walk around outside even in open car park and sound goes choppy.. any ideas???

I'm experiencing similar breakup, but its incredibly inconsistent.

I can be cycling into work in the pouring rain, and they can be fine, but sometimes they'll just start breaking up.

Asked on another forum, and one guy was saying he was having similar inconsistencies with his N95 and the S9s.

Darned fine headsets those S9s though!

Come on Nokia, wake up... Symbian is the canines cahunas. get a grip on simple things like bluutooth stack and signal strength. its like being in the 1990's witha personal cd player pre- skip protection. i though i had the best phone ever. how wrong was i?. very. might i even consider sony?

I really don't think that this is anything to do with nokias implementation of the bluetooth stack.

Best thing to do is borrow a W850, or any non-nokia A2DP supporting phone, and see if that suffers from the same problems.

ive tried using a few phones now and no problem even joggibng, never mind a gentle walk to work. its rubbish man. the n73 was never intended for a2dp at all. so having worked an an update for a phone with a versatile OS you'd have thought they could make it work. F*&^ Nokia. lmao🙄

oh yeah beacuse its as easy as just making it work!! lol you crack me up give them a chance mate the n73 wasnt intended to have a2dp so theyve dun well to reprogram the bluetooth core to allow it.

in a future update they prob will get it better or maybe they have just got it as good as they can on a device that wasnt programmed for it in the 1st place.

i use a sony a2dp headset now and it works 100% fine no stuttering or anything

the 1st sony one i had did stutter a bit

this one dosent

have you even tryed a different device??

ive used a siemens one which wasnt very loud but worked fine no chopping etc very good

i then switched to a sony one which was a little stuttery when it was moved about roughly ie fast walk run

sold this one on and bought a different sony one and it works very well indeed no stuttering or anything

however my best setup for bluetooth a2dp on my n73 is

a bluetooth a2dp clip with mic and 3.5mm jack bought from ebay for 13.99 all in i then use my cx300s in the jack😊 this is awesome 😊 the clip has play ff rewind play and pause and i get to use my cx300s which sound wicked on the n73 😊

not alot of users are moaning about the a2dp quality (no where near as many that had problems with the gps devices when v4 was released)

and from what i can make out the ones that are having problems are using motorolas these paticualaur models that you are talking about

iam not saying that probs dont exsist they did with 1 pair of my sonys but with the other 3 a2dp headsets or adapters it has worked fine

me personally i think its hats off to the nokia programmers my a2dp works great with 3 out of 4 a2dp headsets ive tryed 😊 as does my girlfriends and many other users on this site and nokia.com

anyways hope you get it sorted soon id try changing the headset motorolas make phones anyways not speakers and audio equipment hence why i went for the sonys or even better just a normal a2dp bluetooth clip with 3.5 mm jack for my cx300s 😊 thats the way to do it mate

nice 1

Sorry, but thats a load of rubbish. The N73 is easily up to the job of A2DP - the processor is easily quick enough, symbian is extensible.

And I hate to say it, but as this is an initial release of the functionality, I wouldn't be surprised if there were issues with it.

hiya mate
i think he was saying that it was indeed powerfull enough etc but hes annoyed hes having troubles due to the fact it should work but hes having troubles with interferance

i agree its the 1st time for them on this phone theres got to be alot of programming there so give them a chance if you bail out and buy a sony all fall you dont forget your seperate gps 😊 and kiss good bye to all the cool emulators etc 😊

anyways mine wrks fine so does my girlfriends and my mates that have v4 have no troubles at all so i dont think they done a bad job at all pretty much perfect its easily as good as my n95 for a2dp 😊

peace out
