I read through many a post and have seen that many of you have said that you have 2GB MMC's working in your N70's. I purchased a Kingston 2GB and the only device I cannot get it working in is my N70. I put it in my old HP iPAQ 6315 and formatted and can read it and wite to it on my laptop (built in card reader). When I put it back into my N70 it will not even recognize it at all.
My current specs on the N70 are:
V 5.0705.3.0.1
30-01-07
RM-84
Any ideas?
am not sure, as Nokia says that N70 can work only with 1GB of memory card!!
OMG i have exectly the same problem: Kingston 2GB RS-DV-MMC works with PC and SX1 except with N70 (No memory card insreted).
If anybody finds a cure for this problem tell us.
BTW coolamit your news are few years old becouse wven N-Gage works fine with 4GB memory card, also my SX1 reads 2gb MMC, so...
Im having the exact same problem with my n70, bought a card from ebay, seller said it works on n70, but i can't get my phone to recognize it. the mmc works in anything else tho. is there any way of fixing this ?
There is just too many coincidences. Can you tell me the name of the seller becouse I bought from eBay too? I bought from "loveesurfing"
As much as I know there is no way to fix it. Yesterday I have sent the card to Kingston and they should change it.

Hi everyone, I was surfing through the web to find the answer to this issue because i my self have a 2gb card and was thinking of upgrading to 4gb but I guess that not the case :frown: any how to my surprise even the 2gb card is not working on anyones phone, this had arose concern to my self but I just checked my phone and it show it recognizes the 2gb 😮 . it says exactly:

I read on wikipedia that there is a media edition of the n70 that has a black housing but i am not sure. Mine is that standard silver I hope this helps some one.

i have 2GB kingston card, works on the phone, so much as i can take a photo and store it on the card. my problem is when i connect to my pc with bt or usb and try to transfer anything to the card, it says folder not found after about 3 sec of copying, and therefore fails everytime. with my 64 mb card it transfers but it takes about 5min for a 2MB mp3 file!!
