Sim Access Profile for N95

hi,

I have tried searching this forum to see whether our N95s have Sim access Profile (SAP) compatibility, but cannot find any info. Can anyone confirm whether the N95s have this support for in car usage.

Thanks.

I haven't heard it called that before, but in the Bluetooth menu there is a "Remote SIM mode" option which is meant to allow car kits etc access to the SIM so the car-kit can have all the RF etc hardware in it but still using your number (I presume!)

The reason why i ask all this is that the new car i am planning on purchasing has phone control on the steering wheel. Hence, in order to access phone numbers, sms etc on the phone via the car's steering wheel it needs to be able to have "Sim Access profile" (SAP) compatibility. The enables me to scroll thru the address book, make/receive calls, read sms and even place calls on hold and answer a 2nd line all from the steering wheel. Phone can be sitting in my pocket the whole time.

Some of the older generation phones from Nokia such as my 6230 has been confirmed to work with SAP and i was hoping if anyone here knows if the N95 also has this.

According to official Nokia spec sheets, N95 supports SAP.
