Sometimes, I can't answer calls, so I hit the red button just to divert the calls to answerphone.
Then my frigging phone will ring AGAIN but this time my answerphone is calling me! I hang up on it and it calls me back AGAIN.
I have to listen to the voicemail just to stop my answerphone ringing me up!

This has nothing to do with your phone but is an operator's "feature". Ring your operator and ask them to disable the feature or disable voice mail altogether.
Vodafone in the UK do this and it is seriously annoying.
You can disable it by going into your voicemail (dial 121) and changing the notification settings. You'll have to set it to text notification. Obviously this only applies to Vodafone in the UK, different operators may have a different way of doing it.
