have tried every tact i can, being nice and being forceful and they just cant help me

i think i need to start from scratch in order to get all the right settings on both phone and router...is there an idiots guide anywhere? or could someone just tell me what to do please?! sorry for sounding desperate but ive been trying everything i can every day since friday and its just not happening! ARGH!!!

thanks for any help at all

Ask BT to talk you through disabling all Wi-fi security on your router, then if you still can't get your N95 to connect, it's probably faulty and needs TLC at an NCC

Remember to re-enable the security on the router afterwards...

basically i get a 'web; no gateway' reply whenever i try to connect. can find the network no problems, but browsing is not possible

thanks for your help so far chaps!

remove encryption from ur router then try.
after working, set the encryption to WEP
test then do not change router settings.

also, update firmware in phone if possible

menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Wireless LAN > Options > Advanced settings

Then answer "Yes" to the "... Continue anyway?" prompt and then change the "Automatic configuration" to "Disabled" and then disable "Power saving".
