Hi,

I have tried using the Nokia Software Updater to update the firmware, but it always prompt me no update available. I am currently using 10.0.018.

Can anyone help? Am I missing some steps?

Thanks,
Tony

Look for product code, it printed behind battery, and post it please... its very strange,
because almost all non-branded phones already got firmware v12, and afaik ALL got v11 :con?

You can search this board for how to change this product code and update to latest firmware using Nemesis.

and read the text description .. all the links will get the software you need.

Euro 1 is probably fine for you. Others use Nemesis to change codes so they can have different languages.

Good luck!😊

And what languages does it have in its languages selection?

tools / settings / general / personalisation / language / phone language

please post that here and in the Product Codes sticky.

- with that information we can probably work out what alternative code you can use.😊

Now I can post a message. I currently have and E61 and am thinking about buying a N95. Part of my current frustration is that my have been (and will be) bought in Australia. They currently are not able to write or read Japanese language e-mails. I want to know whether I can download firmware which will allow them to write and read Japanese e-mails and text messages. Can you advise me?

Short answer .. Japan is the only halfway decent country without a N95 market.

I've asked Nokia when they plan to release Japanese capable firmware - no response.:frown:
You're better off with something that does support Japanese.
Currently the only Nokia N series available from Softbank(Voda) is the N73.
