No contactnames in SMS-inbox anymore

Hi everybody!

Since a week or two I got this strange problem: when I receive a SMS, I don't see the name of the sender anymore, but only the phonenumber (format: +31612345678) - even when the sender is IN my contacts-phonebook! It happens with all the names and numbers in my phonebook. When a person's calling, I DO see a name...

Does anybody have a clue how this is possible and how I solve it? It hasn't anything to do with double entries or so. A hard reset didn't work out...

Thank you so much!

Me too Damien! I imported everything from my N80 via PC Suite to N95 and have no names with the imported sms messages in my inbox. My drafts and sent items all did have names though! Definitely a bug. Interestingly, all new sms received have the appropriate names assigned.

Just for a final twist, any imported MMS into my inbox were fine.

Can anybody shed any light on this bug? I imported a lot of sms messages (over 300), so one guess might be that this may have messed it up.

Cheers,
Richard

Names are only assigned to the message when the message is received (hence if you add a name after receiving the text it still only shows the number.)

I can only presume PC Suite does not transfer the ID field.
