turning off WiFi connection?

3 replies · 2,842 views · Started 17 August 2007

my N95 has been working great. However, recently i've noticed that when I connect to the web via WiFi, the little connect logo doesn't go away, even after I've closed the browser.

The N95 gets warm, and it seems to drain the battery VERY quickly.

If I want to close the connection to the ATT EDGE network, I simply hold down the red button and it asks me if I want to end that packet data connection.

How can I do this for wireless / wifi / 802.11 ?

Turn your wifi Tx down from the default 100mW to 10 or 4
tools / settings / connection / wlan .. choose options .. advanced (ignore warning) find Tx power level

play with the other settings while you're there ..😊
