incomplete Idea for removing startup tone

I've always been bugged by that tone ...perhaps because there just aint any control over it.
Recently i got this app. Y-browser from DrJukka(i think its somewhere in the forum too) and it gave me a view of the storage on my phone..
C😛hone memory
D:-was empty
E:-memory card
Z:-system(i think)

now inside this Z: which doesnt appear on the default file browser, there is
-data
-Favourites
-private
-resource
-sys
-System
plus other files...

now inside data folder there's a sounds folder...i found the default ringtones in here.
and beside the sounds folder i found the idiot, Startup_tone.aac
excitedly i pressed the delete button...was beginning to do wat i had always dreamt of then error: File is read-only.
I selected Options,File,Attributes.
System-no
Hidden-no
ReadOnly-Yes
Date...

so i changed Read Only to No. went back to delete the damn thing but same error. i checked the attributes again and to my horror the read only was still Yes.
Well thats where am stuck...so open to ideas to get this thing offffff.
interestingly i cant see these files via pc suite or any blue tooth manager.

ohh and for those dying to silence the camera sound without being in silent mode...the culprit is under Z:\System\sounds\digital\CamcorderCapture.wav

All help is highly appreciated
