Im not sure if im missing something, but it seems shortcuts are lacking somewhat on the z8. Ideally I would like to have a few extra links in the main menu when I open my phone. Eg: 'turn bluetooth on/off' 'access file manager' 'open mobiclip' etc, but can't find a way to do this?
Do I need menui 'plugins' for each one and if so, where do I get them or how do I make them?

Your right, it is a bit limited on plugins, though you can change the right soft key to many things.
From the start up screen:
Options>Settings>scroll right now until you hit...Soft Key>Open>Bluetooth (for example)
yeah, I have that set already! so you cant add ANYTHING to the main list?! increasingly disliking this phone! you cant even use numbers as shortcuts in the menu system! Lucky its going for a fair amount on ebay 😉
No, I don't believe you can. Best you could do is move the icons in the other menus to the main menu. So when you hit the little house button, the icons you use the most are immediately available to you without going through several menus.
At least then they would only be one click away.
