Tomtom support just getting worse

40 replies · 9,390 views · Started 17 August 2007

On reflection I don't think I ever actually installed the 2006 version. I just used the cd key from it to get the upgrade to 2007.

Thats good news, but it doesnt appear in my list of downloads! I assume thats because I have a different version. Dont spose anyone wants to share the file (assuming its not protected in any way)?

Otherwise, I'll fire off another email to navicore support.

Thanks for all the help.

Edit: Looking at this - 'Existing Navicore Personal 2007 customers can download the latest version free-of-charge' means I have to buy the upgrade. Im not too displeased about that really, seems fair.

Good eyes, robgreb. I missed that and Ive been on the site all day.

New version seems to work OK. They've changed the splash screen and one or two menu items. It now defaults to internal gps.

Edit: What have they done? I can't find any way to add favourites with the new version.

I just downloaded and installed the 2007 version. Screen pops up, then goes. Program wont start. Sent another one off to support, and to be fair, they have been dead quick so far.

Me neither 😞

Looks like someone didn't test the release candidate too well.

You can probably add them via a text file, but Navicore had better fix it soon.

Still not working. Splash screen comes up, then exits. Have fired off another support request, I'll be asking for my upgrade money back if I cant get it to work.

Has anything been done about the favourites yet? I did mention it when I sent the request, but not actually having used navicore yet, I was a bit vauge.

I've filed a support request, but not had any response yet.

I've tried copying the favourites list into settings.txt, but with no success.
