Ok, for those of you that have navicore....
Can you transfer memory cards and have it work fine after (assuming you copy stuff over in the usual way)? I want to move it from an MMC card to a micro SD card. I dont know if theres any copy protection on it.
Does 2006 support S60 V3? i.e. will it work on symbian 60 V3?
Oh, and can it be deactivated and sold on?
Cheers in advance.
It was last January when I got it and I can't remember all the details. I had an N73 at the time. I think I just installed 2006 and then immediately upgraded it without actually using it. They were offering a free upgrade at the time. I think I paid about 50 for 2006.
I don't know if it can be deactivated and sold on. I doubt it if it has been used to upgrade.
To upgrade you put your card (any card) in a card reader connected to your pc or connect your phone by cable in mass storage mode and run an executable file (.exe). This puts all the maps etc. in the correct folders and leaves the .sis file in the root of your card. You install this when you put it back in your phone.

Thanks, thats really helpful. Appriciate it. :icon14:
I hope the ones saying it works on the internal GPS are right, Ive just bought one for 25 off ebay. Next will be the upgrade for about 33.
Thats a bit better than 93 odd. And Im getting a BT sirf3 reciever.
Good luck with it. I hope all goes well and you like it. I shall feel very guilty if you don't.
lol, hope not! Be it on my head, Im picky about my satnav software anyway. Perhaps I was spoilt by using tomtom first?
I would appriciate if someone tells me how to get it using the internal GPS reciever though.
But thanks for all your help given already.
