P1i: Ringtones etc.

How do I do: individual ringtones/smstones to groups, individual smstones to contacts. Is there any software like Ringo for Windows Mobile?

And what about MSN Messenger?

Assuming that the P1i is no different to the P990 (which from reports it doesn't seem to be) you can't set ringtones for groups, only for individual contacts. Tones can be selected when you edit a contact.

I don't know much about Ringo for WM but from a quick google your P1i would seem to do everything it does already.

Not quite. P1i allows me to set individual ringtones to contacts, with Ringo I can set ringtones/smstones for both single contacts and groups.

Thanks for advice on messenger. As I understand there is no MS messenger for UIQ, but there is for S60.

I have never had a UIQ phone, but I am thinking of buying one.

Can a P1i/W960i set downloaded tones for SMS?
I.E. Set a new ring tone for the SMS alert like the newer Nokia S60 phones?

I understand that you can set any downloaded tone as ringtone, but what else is configurable?
