Hi all!

I managed to finally get the GPS thing working on my N95, and it shows all the co-ordinates details and what have you. However, my problem is with accessing maps as I have downloaded the maps from the nokia website but when I click on it it just loads up to 30% and exits everytime. Can someone explain to my why this keeps happening?

Many Thanks in advance.

at 30% mine always tries to see if it has a network connection - but usually pops up a message

Worth changing the "use Network" or the "defalt access point" and see what you get ?

Do you have another usb storage device connected to the pc at the same time your downloading the maps? If so the downloader doesn't like it, gets confused and bombs out. I had to install the maps using a laptop in the end.

I think ChrisWatts may have the wrong end of the stick. Are you saying that when you launch Maps on the N95, you see the globe, but the loading bar gets stuck at 30%? You already downloaded the maps to your SD card using Maploader on your PC?

That is exactly what is happening. When I click on maps on my phone it loads to about 30% and then exits. I can get a signal with my gps no problem but no access to the map menu on my phone, it is very frustrating. 😎

Just a hunch. When I did it I remember it telling you to run Maps at least once before downloading more maps with Maploader. If it were me, I'd reformat my SD card, put the reformatted card into the phone, run Maps and allow it to download at least the local area over-the-air for half an hour or so, then run Maploader to put more maps onto the card. As I say, just a hunch.

i suggest that you re-install maplader and make sure you have v1.1 so you can d/load voices at the same time. this way you can make sure you havent accidently deleted part of the program
