Just updated the map for route 66
and can confirm it supports full postcode searching
its now over 200mb instead of the 150mb version (uncompressed)

...now if only i could put the search camera POI's on there!

Britain.part2.rar
google is your friend......

i used the new map yesterday and works really well, full postcode is a great feature. few things i liked about R66 is that unlike tomtom is when you are not moving it does not spain like hell and gets confused which way your facing. i did how ever notice the refresh rate is not that good its not a smooth movement but then saying that tomtom on n95 is the same.

Tomtom5 on my 6630 is smooth has hell!

I used it on the way to work and it works great
I even prefer some of the features compared with tom tom now i got the full postcode working

the only annoying thing is we cant have speed cameras on it.

there is another version around called
Route66_2007_Map_Britain.part1.rar
Route66_2007_Map_Britain.part2.rar
but probably the same

its the same and i think i'm starting to like it also because i live in london not too far from central so the roads have changed alot since the tomtom 6 maps where as r66 map layout is more like what we have now

Yeah they are fine...but i'm waiting for the new realease of Tom Tom which should come around mid septmber!

Has anyone tried Navicore at all? I do like Route 66 but I find it has its faults. Despite updating the traffic every 10 minutes and frequently being told that it has updated my route I still seem to run into traffic quite often on motorways. Also when trying to plot a route from my house to Glasgow and changing it to shortest I was told that the destination was not accessable from my location! It was a main road! It does have some funny routing ideas.

If the 220Mb map file is dated January 2007, it works reliably on both N95 versions of R66 (7.3.486 and 7.3.545)
If the map it is dated 2006 then it probably will crash.

i didn't realise there were 2 versions for the N95
Is it worth upgrading? i've got the older one
