Why is it, that when I try to install a .sis file it either says "certificate error, contact the application supplier" or "Certificate expired"
Ive tried changing the date on the phone, but it doesnt seem to work.
Any tips or ideas?

In the app manager settings, set Software installation to All, Online certif. check to Off. If it persists, the application need to be signed for your device.

Because you are downloaded old versions or cracked software.
Download the latest versions of apps from the Original Supplier's website and you don't get this problem...
