TomTom mobile on N80 - Driving instructions delay

Hi guys, I am new here but I am sure there is someone who can help me.
I have recently purchased a bluetooth gps receiver (Nikkai with Sirf Star III chipset). I have installed TomTom navigator on my Nokia N80 and connected to the gps receiver. Everything seems to be working fine.
When I am driving, though, all the driving instructions and the visualised position are 5sec late. Which means that I typically get an instruction like "take the next exit" after I have actually passed the exit.
Anyone who knows the reason of that? Could it be an issue with the GPS receiver or with the software or with the mobile?
Apparently, when I drive slowly, the software seems to catch up but when I reaccelerate, I still go to the 5sec lag.
Any suggestions?

Have you got anything else running on the phone?

Must admit, compared to mobile 5 running on my old 6600, I too think there's an appreciable lag on the position. It's just about bearable for me though - maybe I'm driving slower!

I've got the TomTom mGPS - the Mk2 Sirf III one.

Same here. Compared to TT5.2 on an N70, the arrow on the N80 running TT6 lags behind at things like roundabouts. It has caught me out a couple of times. It does this even after a firmware flash to the latest, and with nothing else extra running on the phone. Perhaps the higher resolution graphics, etc on the N80 mean it just can't keep up.

I have TT 6.02 and use it with my N80 and the Nokia LD-3W GPS module, I found it very reliable.

I definitely prefer the accuracy of Tom Tom than my car's Pioneer sat-nav.
The very problem is the position... sat-nav is in dash very comfortable to read, hold steady, stereophonic clear audio, superb screen... TT is just on post-stamp display. But as a navigator.... way way better than Pioneer's Avic.
