Getting videos from a PC onto an N95?

I'm a rank amateur with the Nokia N95 ... actually, I'm trying to help a friend with hers while I'm waiting for my own to arrive. So please forgive me if what I'm about to ask is something that's obvious to experienced N95 users.

I understand that Video Center allows video downloads from RSS feeds and YouTube. However, is there any way to get videos from a PC directly onto the N95? We have personal videos that are already living on our desktop computers (legal, not copy protected), and we'd like to get them onto the N95.

Are we out of luck?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. -- I know that the videos need to be mp4's, and we have already converted them. What we can't figure out is how to get these mp4's directly from the PC onto the N95.

And for best Performance vs Storage capacity (e.g. filesize) the files should be on format .MP4/H.264 (..or .AVI if you have a DivX player installed).
I've converted some DVDs to MP4/H.264 with resolution 320x240, 256kb bitrate and they are absolutely perfect on N95 but also quite usable using TVout on a 32" TV. Typical size for a 1,5hours movie is 250MB.

I always recommend DVD Decryptor to rip the DVD and then Super to convert it. Both of these are free applications and EXTREMELY powerful. Super even has preset containers for different end results so you can just drop any format video into it and select the output type (Nokia 3GP etc) and it will convert for you. I use it for my PSP and PS3 as well. It's the nuts

Just used the Nokia Video Manager it uploads the video to the phone but when i play it all i get is sound and no picture! Any one know what i may be doing wrong?

I've used 'Xilisoft DVD to MP4 Converter' and also 'PS3 Video9'. Both work well but Xilisoft suport subtitles.
