Favourites in Navicore 2007

I've had this response from Navicore. Not ideal and not intuitive, but at least favourites aren't broken.

You can add favourites as follows:
Search the location that you want to want to add. Press "3" key to show the cursor. Go with the cursor to the location. Press the "joystick" to open the radial menu. Select "..." and then select the star, which is the icon for favourites. Now you can add a name for the favourite.

Best regards,

Meh. Could be worse I suppose. Id like to try it, but I havent had a response yet.

I suppose I should be patient, but its annoying. Still, if it was tomtom Id be waiting ages for a reply that didnt make sense.

I've tried it and got it to work but I had to disconnect gps first as the map kept jumping to my current location.

I like the new graphics and the extra route menu items (at least I don't remember seeing them before). It seems a little slower getting a gps fix than the previous version with a disconcerting plain green screen while you wait.

Also speed camera warnings no longer display the speed limit.

Another improvement is it now remembers your preferences ie shortest or fastest route, 2D or 3D maps.

So how would you compare it to tomtom? If tomtom V7 came out would you swap?

*Still waiting for navicore to respond, Im assuming they dont know what the problem is*

I've tried most of the sat nav software available for Symbian 60 phones including Tomtom 6 and I find Navicore easily the best especially as its an all inclusive package. Whether Tomtom 7 will be better, who knows until its released?

Blimey, wasnt expecting that. Ok, now I really want it working. Dont spose anyone has any ideas to help?

Anyway, assuming I do get it to work at some point, as long as it routes well and has some of the nicies I want, then i dont see any reason to ditch it for tomtom.

Am I right in thinking navicore only make it for mobiles?

As I said before I couldn't get it to install with Route 66 on the same card. I know your phone comes with R66, are the maps on the phone or on your card? Is there no way you can uninstall R66 and wipe the card if the maps are on there?

Maps are on the card. I'll use my old 1gb card with just navicore on when I get home. However the route66 program itself cannot be uninstalled from any apps menu.

Im hoping navicore can sort this out but its not looking hopeful so far.

On Tuesday/Wednesday I'll be asking for a refund of the upgrade if they cant sort it.
