Still recieve messages after Yahoo delete — Nokia N70, N72 and N90

I want to start off by saying that I've been a lurker here for a few years now and find this site to be great. I never joined because I always could find what I needed with the search button. Now I have a problem that I couldn't find the answer to.

I bought my unlocked N70 in China on a trip about 2 years ago. I've never wanted a new phone since! Just recently I added my Yahoo account to my mailbox. Then I installed Yahoo Go and found I could get my mail that way. I deleted my Yahoo mailbox, but I still receive the text messages saying that I have new Yahoo mail. Is this supposed to happen? What can I do to fix this? Any help is appreciated.

Maybe a soft reset will solve your problem.

Will a soft reset remove personal settings and programs? Will I lose oggplayer, my contacts, my pics and vids and all that other stuff?

Well... it wipes out everything from phone's memory. Make a backup forst and restore it after reset.
