how do i use barcode Scanner softwere?

I tried to use the Barcode scanner software that i downloaded from Nokia.com.au
I get the soft wear to open and it try's to scan. i waited for about 2mins while it tryed to sacn and i did this on a number of items and got nothing. and it was blury through what i could see on my screen. does anyone know what i am to do, or what i am doing wrong?..

its pretty lame anyway that software... you need to hold very still to get anything... its also best with the 2D barcodes....

The bar code scanner from nokia works pretty good. You have to work out the right distance to hold the phone, but it's far more effective if you hold it about a foot away from the code. You don't need to fill the screen up, move the camera further away and you'll see better results. Some codes schemes work better than others, particularly the matrix codes since they generally have an easily recognizable sync pattern that the phone can lock on to and orient itself from.

I was running 3.6 which was stable, but updated to 3.8, which is very nice...the auto-focus plugin is a must. Haven't tried the regular barcode scanner, as it's only available on a trial basis without paying...and as far as I know, it'd be useless unless the barcode was in an accessible database...
