Portable keyboard for P990i?

Hi all,

Do any of you know of a portable keyboard that can work on the P990i? I bought one of those iGo bluetooth keyboards and are not compatible with UIQ3.

Hi,

I have a ThinkOutside keyboard and it works perfectly with the p990 without drivers. It's strange that yours doesn't work because i think it's the same keyboard as the one that is nowadays called iGo Stowaway® Ultra-Slim Bluetooth® Keyboard.
However, the phone responds quite slow to keystrokes in word documents due to the slow p990.

Thanks for the response. I have a "Think Outside" Stowaway Universal Bluetooth Keyboard... is yours infrared or Bluetooth?

I couldn't get the drivers to work, as there were no UIQ3 drivers... how did you get yours to work, just plug and play? Thanks.

Mine is a Think Outside Stowaway Universal Bluetooth Keyboard, model XTBT01. So it's bluetooth and seems to be the same as yours. I didn't need any drivers, I just activate BT in discoverable mode on the P990 and press Ctrl+Fn+Fn on the keyboard to put it into discoverable mode. Then add device on the P990, choose ThinkOutside Keyboard, input a four-number code on the phone and then on the keyboard (use blue Fn button for numbers) and press Enter on the keyboard, and start typing away!

After 20 minutes or so of tinkering I finally got it working! It is not slow, it's just like a regular keyboard, and it is quite nice. It's true that none of the menu/keyboard shortcuts are not working, but I just wanted a portable external keyboard.
