I had post a question in other forum as below, and received an answer: the search speed of contact lists, if too many, is always an issue:frown: Can some one to help me regards it, Why and how long it will be to search contact lists, if more than 3-4 thousands?
I would like to buy a Nokia phone 6110 N in Taiwan. However, some reasons make me hesitated.
One is the compatibility of Nokia with my MS Outlook. I depend the Outlook software deeply when arranging my Calendar and handling my thousands contact lists. I am worried the compatibility of Nokia and MS Outlook on those functions.
The second is the searching speed of contact lists in Nokia phone, specially with thousands items. Because I heard if the number of contact lists was more than one thousand, its speed would be very slow. Was it right?
Can someone kindly give me an answer?

I suppose it supports MS Outlook. It should at least in the sync options. concerning thousands of contacts...well, honestly i think all phones would be slower when dealing with thousands (!!) of contacts...
ps: you must be a quite know person...😊
I just wonder how slow it will be? Few seconds or few minutes?
The free Nokia mail for exchange program is not released for Nokia 6110 - you can however use an older version (1.3.1 - I think). With this you can synch. contacts and calender - and mail (but you can't read the mails! only the mail-header...)
Another possibility is Roadsynch - This program should work - but is not free.
or you can wait and hope Nokia relases mail for exchange. (the new wersion has a contact search function - with I expect could solve your problem.)
