PLEASE HELP!!! N93 SIM and Memory card problems

3 replies · 7,204 views · Started 28 August 2007

SO basically today i dropped my n93 maybe 3 feet to the ground. When i picked it up it was in offline mode and i could not change any of my profiles. It says Insert SIM card. so i took it out and put it back in several times, then i borrowed my friends sim card from the same network and it too gave me the same message. My phone is no longer picking up my SIM card nor my memory card. I have soft and hard reset the phone and still nothing. Any ideas before i talk to nokia tomorrow?

bro i registered myself to this forum just to help you.
i know whats the problem.
just take a T6 (star?) screw driver, and disassemble the lower part of the N93.
dont be afraid, just a little careful thats all.
here is a guide how to disassemble the lower part:

dont worry you dont need these tools, just the screwdriver thats all.
you can buy it almost any shop that sells screwdrivers and stuff like these.
after you open the plastic, just look at this little metal piece where sim card located and pull it out a little and take a look inside if the cable is disconnected from the main board.
if its disconnected - just connect it and assmble everything the same it was before.

GOOD LUCK !!! PM me please after you try this and tell me if this works.

P.S, sorry for english mistakes 😊.

just be careful if you decide to do the job yourself, you could possibly invalidate your warranty and if you do need to take it to a nokia store / send it back, you wont be covered. 😉
