Hello!

i normally bluetooth videos and photos to my computer but i have one video (typically one i really want) that everytime i try and send it to my computer via bluetooth it says connection failed and the bluetooth symbol on the top right of the screen has brackets round it?? it's really annoying i can send anything but this video to my computer!!!! 😡
Any help?
Thanks

Is it not far simpler and easier to connect via the USB cable and transfer data in such a manner..😮

mmmm yeah probably, problem is i've packed that cable into storage thinking i'll be able to bluetooth things if i need them, my partners nagging me because it's a video of him fishing and catching a Pike?! apparently that's very important!!! 🙄

Bluetooth is ok, but for some reason it occasionally drops out for no apperent reason. Ive taken to using the USB cable as its more reliable, and much quicker.

In your case it could be many things, something on your computer thats causing it to drop, crappy bluetooth software, crappy bluetooth hardware, perhaps some interfearance (unlikely), etc etc. Its very difficult narrowing these things down.

With Bluetoothing the data first gets sent to your inbox I think, and from there you have to still save it to a location..With the more reliable USB cable transfer you can allocate at the start where you want your files transferred..
🙄

Check that you have the latest copy of PC Suite installed. I've got Vista installed and last Sunday I received a alert that a solution was found to the previous detected problem with the N95 and bluetooth.

It advised me to update to a new release of PC Suite and since then I haven't had any problems with bluetooth. I can transfer files, sync, backup over bluetooth etc where previously I couldn't.

Does the problem occur when you try to send the file via OBEX push or by trying to put the file straight onto the phone using the Nokia Phone Browser?

If your sending it to Windows XP/Vista, make sure you've selected "Recieve a file" from the right-click icon of Bluetooth in system tray before you attempt to send each file, otherwise your PC will reject connections
