The title says it all. Head to the the url in signature for download.

Yea, datafile?

Sadly my quake CD has long cracked apart :frown:

bloody amazing, kudos to the guy who ported this....

I remember buying a 3dfx voodoo 1 just to run this game with glquake.... if someone had told me that 10 yrs later i would be running this on my mobile i would have laughed 😊

ut.

Indeed, great work!

Known bugs so far...the button to access the menus stops working after a while. So I can get the menu up, but cannot press anything, so thus cannot exit the game.

And f**k me does it start loud. The 6110 navigator has better speakers than most (if not all) phones due to navigation, and its deafening. Also worries me that it might damage them. Even low volume is loud.

The jump button doesnt seem to work for me either.

But still, very good effort!

guys... how did you get the datafile?? I've got the original cd but i cant install it onto windows xp! and i cant locate the file id1 in the cd itself. any suggestions on how to get this file?? or am i doing something wrong?

i tried running the installer in both windows and dos, but to no avail 😞

thanks!

Dream come true this game.. thanks for the heads up about it! Works so beautifully!

anyone got a link for the datafile, after all its shareware so not ilegal to post this

The shareware datafile is ok, but the full version not.

I'll post a link later when I get home, I downloaded and installed a demo of quake (which is the whole first episode) to get it. Dispite it not working on windows XP, the files work fine.

awesome! thanks for the link! 😊

it works like like a charm! who would've thought that we would be able to play quake on our phones!?! 😊

i realised.. only the first episode is playable if i use the shareware datafile. thats quite frustrating.. if anyone figures out a way to install the dos version onto windows xp, or to somehow access the datafile from the original cd, do enlighten us 😊

bartmanekul, u mentioned that the full version file is not ok but the shareware version is?? what do u mean??

thanks!

Could sumone please post a link or pm me a link of the full game rather than just the first level demo, other wize i dont think its really worth all the hassle for just one level, thanks very much guys

Epic902 - thats illegal. Why dont you go buy it, its a cheap as chips now?

Jinx405 - I meant that the full version has to be paid for, its cheap enough now.

You can get it for less than 3 posted on ebay. 😉

id software's entire back catalogue is available through Steam. If you have a Steam account, you can download Quake for a fiver, and play it on the PC, too.

Oh no bartmanekul i best not do anything illegal, the care police might come and take my putter so i cant play quake anymore, n id rather keep my fiva thanks

If you want the free full copy, then get off your butt and look for it rather than pleaing for it here. I am sure you can find it on Google, BT, Mule, rapidshare or any other source.

Give some respect will ya?

we cant all open our mouths and expect things to be spoon fed..

On another note -

Anyone know how to get the timedemo working on this? Would love to see the FPS out of it.. will be a good benchmark I guess..

Not sure, but interestingly it runs smooth as silk on my 6110N which doesnt have a floating point unit. Shame about the other issues though. If I start playing, I cant choose any menu options, meaning I cant save and I cant exit without turning the phone off.

bartmanekul - yeah understood. but i already have my old original quake copy, so i wanna try get the datafile out of that 😊

illegal-no way.. to be honest its not very fair.. and its not right to post something like that here. like what bchliu said, its easy enough to search for it, if its really necessary..

alrighty.. im gonna try to reinstall that old cd to see if i can get anything out of it.. will update if its possible 😊

Should work. Just install, and find the ID1 folder. Then copy that and follow the instructions on the website.

I too used to own quake, but the cd got shattered.

NM, I'll wait for quake 2 😃

yeah youre right! it finally works! the dos install file did not let me install into c drive cuz it said it didnt have enough free space, although there was more than enough. so i kept trying with my other 7 hard partitions (split into 3 harddisks) and it finally installed! hahahah i showed it off to my friends and they couldnt believe it!

quake 2? that would be great! i wonder what's next? hmm... maybe half life? since it uses the quake 2 engine as well? 😊

After all said and done though isnt it a bit fiddly to play on a phone though as quake is really a keyboard and mouse game.

Hi,

I can't get Quake running.
What I did:
- created the "Quake1" folder on memory card
- created the "ID1" folder in it
- copied the resource.1 and resource.dat files into the "ID1" folder
(those get from shareware version)
- installed pips_s60_wp.sis and then quake_v6_FPU.sisx
When I select Quake icon, the application doesn't even start.
Could someone help me?

Thanks in advance

You place the data file (pak0pak) file in the id1 folder. You have to install the shareware version on your pc first first then open the QuakeSW folder and open the id1 folder there and take out the pak0pak file and pop that in your id1 folder on you mem card.

It does work rather groovy especially in landscape mode 😊

Hi.

Thanks for your support.😊
When I try to install the shareware version,
i.e. run instal.bat (deice.exe), I am getting an error:
"The system cannot execute the specified program".
Could you give me more hints?
