I have managed to connect to my home wifi connection for internet browsing
But
As my printer is wifi (and on my home network)i was hoping to send stuff to it to print....It doesn't find it as it only looks for Bluetooth....Is there anyway to fool it or force it to connect.
As far as I know you can only connect with a bluetooth printer as these are tailored to work with mobile devices (Infrared may be an option too). Otherwise there would need to be printer support for every individual printer (drivers etc...) which isn't going to happen.
No, it does support network printers...
i have a HP Photosmart 2575 (150 now, but got from apple on special for 45 a while back!!) its a wired network printer, not wireless, but works exactly the same.. eg it has an IP address and is visible on your home network..
Make sure you have your home wifi stored as an access point on your N95, goto gallery and pick a photo to print.. press print and it should come up with a print preview (Maybe not the first time.. but you should get a pick printer menu?) ... from the print preview i pressed options > settings > default printer > then a list appears with bluetooth/mem card/usb/wlan printer. select wlan and it should ask what access point to connect to... pick your home wifi router... then it should connect, scan your network, and find it. Mine is just listed as 'Printer'. click add, and it should save the settings. also pick the paper size and how many photos per page at this point.
Now it should be back on the print preview, just click print, and for me, a HP logo pops up on screen, and within 1 second of pressing print, from whereever in the house, it starts printing...
Let me know if this works for you, I really didnt expect it to work, but it works every time now.
The other good thing with network/wlan printers, is if they have a built in scanner, they often have a web interface to scan from. I can access that through the handset and scan a document straight to the memory card.
