Hi

i am trying to use bluetooth with my7650 and PC. Have usb MSI dongle and have configured with PC. Data transfer works fine both ways.

When it comes to Nokia PC Suite no luck.

What I really want to do is use IM+ v2 over bluetooth connection with PC.

I have trawled these forums and tried everything mentioned - all the re-installs.

Help me please as I am getting nowhere now 😞

Thanks

Yes all of that seems okay and as I say I can transer data either way. But not get mRouter working 😞

What Windows Version you using? [my last reply for tonight, Im shatterd - hopefully someone else has soem ideas]

Hi,

I bought a Bluetooth USB adaptor yesterday and indeed on my PC I got the same problem. It only shows the infrared port. On my Laptop it works just a little bit. I can pair my devices but I always had to connect manualy by pressing the serial port button. I can't select "Startup automaticaly" as I can on my normal pc. My normal PC finds the nokia 7650 but PC suite doesn't cause mRouter doesn't show the virtual COM ports. On my laptop mRouter shows 14 different virtual COM ports and I only need to select the one of the Local service tab. The only problem here is that my pc doesn't connect my phone automatically when its in the area. I alwasys have to go to my pc first to press the Serial port button and I cannot select the "Startup Automatically" checkbox of the serial port properties.

Anyone that can help?

Thanx

Same problem here. Only IR port in mrouter (winxp). After disabeling my modem mrouter does show the other port en works.

most Bluetooth devices can open up multipul conns but some onnly allow one type at a time, so like the modem on e above, that might be the problem. I suggest you reinstall windows, and first thing u do once thats done is install bluetooth drivers, then pc suite. that way it secure's the com ports. and is a good place to start

Well I removed my standard modem and hey presto all the com ports appeared for bluetooth.

Reinstall modem and all is okay!!

Turn off PC and power back on and I am back to square one with no BT com ports!! 😞

Looks like the modem is taking all the com ports, try some settings in BIOS... if not try some diff modem settings and diff pci slot etc...
