I changed the housing/cover on my n70 and now it won't acknowledge my memory card..

Hi guys..

I just changed the cover on my n70 about an hour ago with help from this forum and when I turned my phone back on I noticed all my data was missing (since I keep most stuff on my memory card) like pictures and apps and themes etc

So I went into Menu>Tools>File Manager and scrolled across to the 'memory card' page and it said (no memory card inserted) which seemed weird because it's been working fine up until then! And so I removed and re-inserted the mini SD in the side-slot and nothing even happened on the screen like it normally does when you remove the card. Then a friend suggested I turn my phone off and then back on and that's made no change either.

I'm starting to freak out now...and i'm hoping it's something I can fix! So if this has happened to anyone before or something i'd love you forever if you knew how to fix it! Or even if you knew if it was a problem with the phone OR the memory card..

Thanks.. :frown:

The small plastic cap which protects the MMC slot is not positioned correctly. Normaly it should press on some kind of a button. Open the case again and reposition the lid correctly.

yea opening the hatch actually activates a switch, so if it is positioned incorrectly the phone thinks the hatch is open.
