When i try to login to my wifi network at home the phone just says 'shared authentication required' even tho i've put the wep key in. any ideas? :con?

I could be wrong but if on your wireless router the wifi encryption method is set to "Shared Key" (i.e WPA or WPA-PSK) it wont work ?
I'm sure someone will correct me. 😊

I have a WEP key but have encryption method set to Open System and it works no problems.

Also....check that you dont have a space character in your key.

First, N95 supports both WEP, WPA and WPA2 so no problem there.

Secondly, instead of entering the sh.auth.key when trying to connect, define/create the IAP with the correct settings first (tools\settings\connections\acc.points). Of course, make sure that you define it with the appropriate WLAN security mode (WEP, if thats what you're using) and WLAN security settings (such as which key to use (1-4), 64 vs 128bit, key format and of course the key).
