Hello
Friday, I'm off to New York for a fortnight and I was thinking about maybe buying an E90 over there because it maybe is a lot cheaper there.
But will it fully work and accept our simcards here in europe?
and do some people maybe know the US prices for E90s?
It will work. The E90 sold in the US is with "European" version of the cellular radio (no US 3G WCDMA support).
so when I find an unbranded phone in a shop in the us, I can use every aspect of the phone. That should be great.
But an unbranded phone do you perhaps know the price discount compared to the around 800 EUR price over here? When it is converted 500euro I will buy it for explame. But I rather think it will be 20 or 50 euro of the european price.
I bought an E90 in New York City about 6 weeks ago for $1000. Perhaps a little cheaper than in Europe but not much.

The E90 in NYC is going for $1100-1200 minimum this days + (8,325% sales tax).
a $ 1000 is around € 735 euro's, its indeed 20 euro's cheaper than a Dutch internet shop, a Belgian internet shop is still € 800
But actually not a big difference then.
It was wondering because I heard that notebooks were a lot cheaper over there (or not?), so I thought cellphones will be a lot cheaper too...
It works out more expensive because you lose the 2 years warranty...
