This morning I noticed that when my N95 is on the screensaver mode (one with the time and date displayed on a dark screen) I�ve noticed that this bar where all the information is flickers. I know this moves up and down the screen randomly and I don�t mean this, I mean when its stationary it flickers. When you open the slider to activate the main screen no flickering is then evident. Does anyone elses do this and does this mean it�s a defective LCD? or is it just this particular screensaver?

It's an old thread, but nobody answered...and I have this same "problem" and question too! Anyone else?
The only thing that I could see causing the flickering would be a problem with the OS communicating with the battery. When the phone goes on standby maybe it's dropping it's power consumption more than it should, causing just enough power drain from the battery to power the device but not enough to light the screen enough as it should on standby.
Just a thought!
Just to say, I notice the same thing, on mine, my brothers, my dads, and my mates n95.
Perhaps a power saving feature?
