Warning: to all O2 UK customers....

Well not very N95 related, but good way to get a cheap one 😊

As you may or not be aware 02 have recently announced a change in the charging policy in the UK for 0845, 0870, 0800 numbers.

Basically calls to these numbers will not be allowed to be used in your inclusive contract minutes. You might have been warned to this change via a text message.

more details here:

If this is the case you are liable to end your contract early as this generates a breach of the contract, as long as you can prove this new tariff generates a "significant disadvantage" to yourself.

To prove this, I made the customer support guy work out how many minutes I used to phone with these special numbers. This worked out to be 1:33 mins:sec over a period of 4 months.

So it worked out that based on the new price and my average consumption based on my previous history I would be charged an extra few pence per month.

Based on this, this was proof that I would loose out and I stood firmly to say this was a "significant disadvantage".

So I managed to terminate my contract early just 4 months in, whilst still keeping my N95. I know money wise I wouldn't be loosing too much, but really did it as a matter of principle.

power to the people! 😊
